At Layered, we are committed to delivering your order quickly, securely, and with the care expected from a premium fragrance retailer. Every order is carefully inspected, securely packaged, and dispatched from South Africa.


1. Order Processing

All orders are processed within 2–3 business days after payment has been successfully received and verified.

Orders are processed during our business hours:

Monday – Friday
09:00 – 17:00 (SAST)

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

During major promotions, holidays, product launches or peak shopping periods, processing times may be slightly longer.


2. Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

Destination Estimated Delivery
Gauteng 2-3 Business Days
Major Metropolitan Areas 4–7 Business Days
Regional & Outlying Areas 7–10 Business Days
Remote Locations Up to 10 Business Days

Delivery estimates are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed.

Actual delivery times may vary depending on courier operations and your delivery location.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping charges are calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery address and order value.

From time to time, Layered may offer:

  • Free Shipping promotions
  • Discounted delivery promotions
  • Limited-time courier offers

These promotions are subject to change without notice.

4. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive:

  • A shipping confirmation email
  • Your courier tracking number
  • A tracking link where available

Tracking information may take several hours after collection to become active.

5. Delivery Address

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided during checkout is complete and accurate.

Please verify:

  • Full Name
  • Delivery Address
  • Postal Code
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address

Layered cannot be held responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional courier charges resulting from incorrect delivery information.

6. Failed Deliveries

If a courier cannot successfully deliver your parcel because:

  • no one is available to accept delivery;
  • the delivery address is incorrect;
  • delivery is repeatedly refused;
  • the parcel is not collected from a pickup location where applicable,

the parcel may be returned to Layered.

Should redelivery be required, additional courier charges may apply.

7. Delivery Delays

While we work with reputable courier partners, delivery delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances outside our control, including:

  • Severe weather
  • Public holidays
  • Industrial action
  • High courier volumes
  • Civil unrest
  • Road closures
  • Power outages
  • Customs inspections (where applicable)
  • Other force majeure events

Layered shall not be liable for losses resulting from such delays.

8. Delivery Inspection

Please inspect your parcel immediately upon delivery.

If the parcel appears:

  • damaged;
  • tampered with;
  • leaking;
  • opened; or
  • incomplete,

please notify the courier where possible and contact Layered within 48 hours by emailing:

Please include:

  • Your Order Number
  • Photographs of the parcel
  • Photographs of the product
  • A description of the issue

Failure to report shipping damage promptly may affect our ability to investigate with the courier.

9. Risk and Ownership

Ownership of the products passes to you once full payment has been received.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon successful delivery to the address provided during checkout.

10. Authenticity & Secure Packaging

Every fragrance sold by Layered is:

  • 100% Authentic
  • Carefully inspected before dispatch
  • Securely packaged to minimize damage during transit

To protect product integrity, all fragrances are dispatched in their original manufacturer's packaging unless otherwise stated.

11. International Shipping

Layered currently delivers within South Africa only unless otherwise indicated on our website.

If international shipping becomes available, customers will be responsible for any customs duties, taxes, import charges or clearance fees imposed by their destination country.

12. Incorrect or Missing Items

If you receive:

  • the wrong fragrance;
  • an incomplete order; or
  • a missing item,

please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your parcel.

  • Photographs of all items received

Our Customer Support Team will investigate and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

13. Undeliverable Parcels

If an order is returned to Layered because of:

  • an incorrect address;
  • failure to collect;
  • refusal of delivery; or
  • repeated failed delivery attempts,

we will contact you to arrange redelivery.

Any additional shipping costs incurred will be the responsibility of the customer.

14. Delivery Time Guarantees

Delivery estimates provided on our website are intended as guidelines only.

Layered does not guarantee delivery on a specific date or time unless expressly agreed in writing.

No compensation shall be payable for courier delays beyond our reasonable control.

15. Consumer Rights

Nothing contained in this Shipping Policy limits or excludes any rights afforded to consumers under:

  • Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008
  • Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002
  • Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013

Where applicable legislation provides consumers with mandatory rights, those rights shall prevail.
